Marble Rye Patty Melt
INGREDIENTS
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion
6 slices rye bread
American cheese
Havarti cheese (or swiss or muenster)
TR’s Black Soil Blend (or your favorite burger seasoning)
INGREDIENTS for BURGER SAUCE
2 parts mayo
1 part ketchup
1 part mustard
1 part dill relish
salt & pepper
DIRECTIONS
combine all of the burger sauce ingredients and mix well
slice the onion and sauté it with canola oil. Season w/ TR’s Black Soil Blend
divide the 1lb of ground beef into three ⅓ pound ovals and season with TR’s Black Soil Blend
add Marble Rye bread to griddle. Butter the top side.
after the bottom of the bread is lightly toasted, flip the bread onto the buttered side
add burgers to the griddle and smash into an oval to fit the bread. After smashing, season with TR’s Black Soil Blend
add burger sauce and cheese to the toasted side of the bread to begin melting the cheese
add sautéed onions on top of one side of the cheese slices
flip the burgers when they’re ready and add more cheese
when burger is finished, place a patty on top of the slice of bread with the sautéed onions and top with the other piece of rye bread
