Grilled Cheese Smashburger
INGREDIENTS
½ lb ground beef
4 oz cream cheese
2 jalapenos
2 c shredded cheddar cheese
4 slices white bread
4 slices bacon
2 slices of cheese (american/pepperjack)
½ sliced yellow onion
mayonnaise
chili garlic sauce
Butter
Meat Church Holy Voodoo Seasoning
TR’s Black Soil Blend Seasoning
DIRECTIONS
make burger sauce by mixing 3 parts mayo with 1 part chili garlic sauce
mix 4 oz room temp cream cheese with 1 c shredded cheddar cheese, 1 diced jalapeno and 1 tbsp Meat Church Holy Voodoo to create the cheese mixture for grilled cheese
make 2 grilled cheese sandwiches by spreading the cream cheese mixture on white bread
add 4 pieces of bacon to the skillet along with ½ of a sliced yellow onion
butter the bread and add the grilled cheese sandwiches to the flat top
after grilled cheese, carmelized onions and bacon have finished cooking add 2 ¼ lb burgers on the flattop and smash with a burger smasher or a spatula
season burgers with TR’s Black Soil Blend
add pepperjack and american cheese to the burgers
build the burger by adding burger sauce to the bottom grilled cheese, carmelized onions, burger, american cheese, 2 pieces of bacon, burger with pepperjack, 2 pieces of bacon, and finally the 2nd grilled cheese.
you should probably stop here but if you’re feeling crazy, it’s time for a jalapeno cheese blanket. Put some sliced jalapenos down on the flat-top and cover with some shredded cheese. When the cheese has melted, place the sandwich on the cheese and scrape it all up off the flat-top in one piece.
